Aberdeen is only the third Scottish city to host the start of the race, and we were honoured that the hill-top finished here at Glenshee Ski Centre. Not only did the stage feature an entirely new route it also included the first-ever opening day summit finish travelling along the 4.8% gradient climb along the The Old Military Road to Glenshee Ski Centre.
